Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR)

2024

CEVR, the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health, at Tufts Medical Center was established in 2005 and analyzes the benefits, risks and costs of strategies to improve health and health care. CEVR undertakes projects to determine the cost-effectiveness of health care interventions, including customized analyses for government agencies, private foundations and industry groups. CEVR has developed and maintains two internationally-known databases for health care stakeholders: the Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Registry and the National Coverage Determinations Database.

The CEA Registry is comprehensive database containing detailed information on more than 8,650 standardized cost-effectiveness ratios and more than 11,800 utility weights published in the peer-reviewed literature. The Tufts Medical Center Medicare National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) Database describes decisions made by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It contains detailed information on 166 NCDs completed between 1999 and 2012.
